At the Western India Institute of Aeronautics (WIIA), we carefully design and select certificate courses that provide students with a strong foundation in aviation technology while preparing them for real-world industry challenges. The three courses, Drone Training, Familiarization of Jet Engine, and LYCOMING-O235-NC2 Aero Engine, have been chosen for their complementary skills, practical relevance, and career value.
By offering these three courses together, WIIA ensures that students gain a balanced mix of cutting-edge technology (drones), foundational knowledge (jet engines), and practical skills (piston engines).
This combination prepares students to become industry-ready professionals, whether their future path lies in aircraft maintenance, aviation engineering, or advanced aeronautical studies.
Drone Training
Drones are rapidly transforming aircraft inspection, maintenance, and data collection processes in aviation. This course equips students with advanced flight operations, payload integration, and inspection techniques using drones, giving them a modern, in-demand skill set.
Aero Engine (LYCOMING-O235-NC2)
Piston engines remain widely used in training and general aviation aircraft. This course focuses on engine systems, inspection, maintenance, and ground operations, ensuring students gain hands-on familiarity with real-world aircraft engines.
Familiarization of Jet Engine
Understanding jet engines is fundamental for any aviation aspirant. This course introduces students to engine components, performance principles, and operational knowledge, laying a strong theoretical foundation for further studies in aeronautical engineering or aircraft maintenance.
WIIA Advantages
At WIIA, we offer courses designed to provide students with practical aviation skills and industry-ready knowledge. The three certificate programs, Drone Training, Familiarization of Jet Engine, and LYCOMING-O235-NC2 Aero Engine, were chosen to give a balanced mix of modern technology, foundational understanding, and hands-on experience. Drone Training develops advanced inspection and flight skills, Jet Engine familiarization builds core theoretical knowledge, and the LYCOMING piston engine course ensures practical exposure to engine systems and maintenance. Together, these courses prepare students to become confident, skilled, and industry-ready aviation professionals.
Objective of the Course: Drone Training
This advanced course is designed for drone pilots who have already undergone basic drone pilot training and are familiar with drone rules, regulations, and flying techniques.
Building upon their existing knowledge and skills, participants will delve into specialized areas of aircraft inspection using drones, equipping them with the expertise required to conduct advanced inspections in various operational environments.
Advanced applications of drone technology
Enhance proficiency in advanced flight maneuvers, specialized flight operations, and payload integration for aircraft inspection missions.
Develop skills in data collection, processing, and analysis using specialized sensors and software tools.
Apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills in simulated scenarios and real-world case studies to solve complex inspection challenges.
