The Western India Institute of Aeronautics (WIIA) campus workshop is designed to transform aspiring engineers into industry-ready professionals through immersive, hands-on training.

Students gain practical exposure in dismantling, inspection, and re-assembly of aircraft components while mastering system troubleshooting, functional checks, and operational testing.

Meet the Experts Behind Your Training

Bridging Classroom Knowledge with Real Aircraft Practice

Autopilot & Autonomous Systems: Master the Future of Flight

Master the core of autonomous flight with our Autopilot System. This hands-on platform allows students to directly apply principles of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC), essential for aerospace and robotics. You will gain practical experience modeling, testing, and integrating the complex avionics that ensure precision and safety in modern aircraft and UAVs. Prepare for high-demand careers in flight control system design and autonomous technology.

Bridging Classroom Knowledge with Real Aircraft Practice

An Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) is a crucial aircraft safety device that automatically or manually broadcasts a distress signal after a crash to aid in search and rescue.

Modern ELTs primarily use the 406 MHz frequency for satellite detection, which provides precise location data via GPS or other triangulation, while also transmitting on 121.5MHz for local homing signals.

Advanced Avionics: Glass Cockpit & Navigation Training

Our curriculum features dedicated, hands-on training with modern digital interfaces, as demonstrated by the Glass Cockpit project. Students gain crucial experience operating and understanding sophisticated display systems, including the principles of the Instrument Landing System (ILS), which uses a radio beam to accurately guide an aircraft for approach and landing. Coupled with practical sessions on the Autopilot Mock-up, this training ensures learners are proficient in the advanced avionics and automated flight controls essential for today's commercial aircraft, preparing them for specialized careers in system design and maintenance.

Real-World Flight Simulation Training

Students receive invaluable, real-world flight training through our advanced cockpit simulator. Guided by experienced faculty, learners master how pilots operate controls, instruments, and procedures. They practice maneuvering, interpreting flight data, and performing entire takeoff-to-landing operations in a safe, controlled environment.

Boeing 747-200 CB-Panel : Real-World Maintenance Skills

Our hands-on approach to aviation training includes working directly with complex systems like the Boeing 747-200 Circuit Breaker (CB) Panel. Instructors utilize this dedicated panel to walk students through key cockpit controls and system displays, ensuring they understand the intricacies of a wide-body aircraft's electrical and monitoring functions. By demonstrating essential operational procedures, we help learners grasp real-world maintenance processes and develop strong foundational skills in troubleshooting and managing aircraft systems. This direct practical exposure is crucial for building the confidence and expertise required for a successful career in aircraft technology.

Degrees & Programs

The program prepares future engineers and maintenance professionals with the technical skills, safety practices, and regulatory understanding required by global aviation standards.
